Rustic Roots

This one feels like a little surprise in the collection—and I love it for exactly that reason. The bold, stylized floral has a much more modern, graphic feel, with that rich berry background and pops of rust, orange, blush, and the prettiest unexpected blue. It brings a punch of color and personality to all of the softer orchard scenes and more nostalgic prints.

I’m always drawn to collections that have something slightly unexpected tucked into them. This print still feels right at home with the warm, autumnal palette of The Orchard, but gives you a completely different scale and style to play with. I can see it making the cutest binding, quilt border, bag, skirt, or anywhere you want a little hello, look at me moment.

The rules of Persnickety is that you have to have those fabrics that breaks the rules just a little. This is that fabric—and I’m obsessed with what it does to the whole group. A bit unexpected.
